Flaming Cliffs, Mongolia
In 1923, while searching for the remains of ancient human ancestors at the Flaming Cliffs, American explorer Roy Chapman Andrews became the first person to ever discover dinosaur eggs. Subsequent excavations have yielded many groundbreaking archeological finds, including velociraptor remains and even early mammals. Nearby in the mountains to the south lie hundreds of petroglyphs left by Neolithic/Bronze Age Mongoloids.
